Apple has recalled the first generation ipod nano after a safety risk was discovered with the battery. The company began notifying customers on the weekend with a brief email explaining the problem.

Apple has determined that, in very rare cases, the battery in the iPod nano (1st generation) may overheat and pose a safety risk. Affected iPod nanos were sold between September 2005 and December 2006.

Sony's Playstation 3 has been hacked.A process which has never been done until now.In the four or more years since Sony's Play Station 3 has been around, it's never been hacked to play pirated games, until now that is.

PS Jailbreak has released a USB dongle that lets you play pirated as well as homemade games on a retail PS3 by converting it into a "debug" unit, a special version of the PS3 used by developers and others to access non-retail versions of games.

Now that the Apple iPad has been released in the U.S, I thought I would have a look at the specifications between the iPad and the ADAM.The results are pretty clear cut and it is pretty safe to say I know which one I will be buying. It really annoys me to think about the amount of people that still buy a product based on it's name rather than it's specifications and quality!!!

Intel have unveiled their newest processor, the Core i7 980x Extreme. The CPU pushes the envelope by including six physical cores, and hyper threading technology to virtualize twelve cores--its almost like having twelve computers in one. With massive gains in some applications, in my opinion there is no other processor on the market that matches its performance.

Google are at it again, They seem to have their hand in everything these days. Now the search engine giant has been reported to have been dabbling in a new TV programming search service.

Google's been testing their "television programming search service" for about a year. The project is a collaboration with Dish Networks and the testing of it "could be discontinued at any time." This doesn't sound too enthusiastic, Information about the project itself has been extremely secretive.

Apple's recent patent infringement lawsuit against HTC proves that hypocrisy is alive and well. Years ago, Apple was sued by Xerox PARC for stealing the Mac interface. Back in those days Steve Jobs declared, "We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas." But that was then, and this is now. Lawyers, not designers, have taken center stage and innovation suffers.
